The light is going away

Dammit... I just now found out that Jake and Alex's graduation ceremony is at 2 tomorrow afternoon...

We have 3 cars, but one is broke (needs a new radiator)... my dad is supposed to get off work at 3, but lately he hasn't gotten off until 5... My brother get off work at 4:30, and he needs a way to get home. Two girls that live by us work at the same place where my brother does... maybe they could give him a ride home... That way he can get home if my dad has to work late, and I can stay for the entire ceremony, and not have to leave at 3:45ish...

Atop of all of that, my mom still is hesitant to say that I can go, not because of the cars, but because she is so worried about me being bisexual and all. Hmm... my dad is quite sure that he'll get off at 3 tomorrow... God I hope so, because if I do go and my dad is late, and if my brother can't hook a ride off of the girls, he's screwed!!

And in other news... my mom had to work today, but my brother and sister were both off from school, so I had to keep an eye on them for most of the day. We went down to the school real quick, to see the computer teacher and her new little baby :) Then I had to go to Wells Fargo to deposit the check that my uncle gave me, and to get some cash. Then it was off to McDonalds.

At McDonalds, we ordered our food through the drive-through, then I went into the shade and parked. Soon thereafter about 7 small little birds were on the pavement, looking at me through the window (which I had rolled down) lol... looks like I had some spoiled birdies!! So I tore off part of the bun and threw it out onto the pavement. One lucky bird got to it first, but it was too big for him to eat. So he had the piece of the bun in his beak, dragging it along the ground so that it would break apart... lol... I've never seen any bird do that before!!

A while later my mom got home from work, then I went down and checked the mail. My check card from Wells Fargo came, and I activated it when I got home. Actually I don't know if it works... I'll have to try it out sometime...

Also, to some point, I was a bit of a matchmaker today :D

I've been talking to two people from New Jersey on AOL, one for a few months, the ohter for a few weeks. They happened to be on AOL at the same time, so after about 10 minutes of being the relay between the two of them on AOL, I finally introduced them to eachother. And actually I was pretty good... they live about 40 miles away from eachother.

Another unique day

Well its not EVERY DAY that, just 10 miles from your house, a train hits a semi truck, and a few hundred miles away just three hours later to have a helicopter crash.

Last night I got ahold of someone that Ty had been talking to. Unlike me, Ty actually keeps in touch with this guy from Idaho Falls... *grr*... Here I am running between oh... 5 or so guys... and atleast on AOL, I get along best with Ty. But he hasn't been online in over a month!! That makes it kinda hard for me to keep in touch with him, since his two email addresses are all that I have.

I was on the internet today (well I was on for quite a bit actually) and I talked to Dan, who keeps a LiveJournal that I've been reading for quite a while. Aside from me being kinda nervous (and at a time or two, me making an ass ouf of myself) it was actually a fairly good conversation. Hey and what can I say, he's actually kinda cute too... those glasses look pretty good on him :)

I started defraging (sp??) my hard drive, since HP was kind enough to pack 5.64 gigs of USELESS CRAP on it... Yeah I can see me using "Arthur's Computer Adventure" and "Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing 11"... *tries to quit using sarcasm...* I don't know if it will void my warrenty if I delete that stuff... if not then I really see no point in keeping any of it, since none of it really strikes my fancy. But in the end I stopped the computer... And I doubt that I'll have it defrag over night... the scratching and clicking sounds of the hard drive would keep me up all night... lol.

In the mail I got a belated graduation card from my uncle in Portland, Oregon. Along with the card was a good sized check, so tomorrow I have to drive to Wells Frago and put it in my account.

And I've made plans to go to Boise on Saturday to see Jake and Alex's graduation ceremony... maybe if I have a chance I'll stop by and see Brandon at his work. If all goes well that is anyway.

Well that's my rant for now :)

05/28/02

Well as you probably could tell by the posts below, I'm really not pleased with the outcome of the primary election... But the nice thing about the primary election is that it pairs up the canidates for the November election. But there's always November!!

The power steering on my dads Dodge went out, this the day after the water pump on his Taurus went out. So needless to say that he's not really happy about that.

My dad and I went to A&W for lunch, and gosh they have some of the best food that I've had at a burger place!!

I went through my college stuff, and it turns out that I missed the financial deadline for the UofI *whoops*... and Boise State's deadline is here in a few days. I really want to go to NIC, so I called them up because I still haven't heard about my financial status from them. I had to explain that it was urgent that I knew my financial status from them, because I had missed one deadline and one more is quickly approaching. Eventually I had to leave my name and number with a guy, and an hour later he called back, telling me that I had received the same amound of money from them as I had received from the UofI and BSU.

After that I arranged a time for them to call me, and here in two weeks they'll call me, and I'll register over the phone. At first they had me scheduled to be at the campus. lol... driving 450 miles just to register seems a bit out of the way to me. After I told the lady where I lived, she said, "WHOA!! Yeah I think it'd be better if we registered you over the phone!!"

93 on Friday... sheesh!!

And I got my first box of checks in the mail from Wells Fargo. Talk about wrapping it up, good lord... I swear it took me about five minutes just to get the plastic wrapping off of the box!! lol, but yeah the checks have everything on them that they were supposed to. They were even kind enough to provide me with a vinyl checkbook cover too... hehe... The box had been in the warm mailbox for quite a while, and so now my room smells like vinyl *yuck...*

I also got an application for the Idaho Center, since I have connections *sarcastic smirk*... haha... So I'll fill that out tonight and drop it off tomorrow.

Okay, since I put the results down there, I might as well say whom I went for (and voted)

Senate: Brad Little
House: Falkenstein
Commissioner 1: Galvin
Commissioner 2: Beebe

I'm REALLY disappointed that Galvin lost, since she's a great commissioner, and I'm happy that Jonna "Burn-down-the-houses" Weber lost out as well, but I was wanting Falkenstien to win. I don't know how Kathy Skippen's views on things are, but I'm sure that she's much more professional than Weber.

When I got up (after I showered and had breakfast) I went out and mowed the lawn... at 8:15 in hte morning. haha... yeah I'm sure the neighbors LOVED that!! lol

Well today I voted for the first time. Now it's not... traditional (??) to say who you voted for, but I'll say that I didn't vote for Dirk "the Dork" Kempthorne for Governer, nor did I vote for Jonna "Burn-down-the-houses" Weber for State Rep. I went down to the Baptist Church in town at around 10:30, and there were a few people there, not a whole lot though. Within 5 minutes I was done. Although I did miss a page in the ballot *oops*... apparently it'll show that I don't care if Linda Trout or that moron from Coeur d' Alene wins. Eh well, it was my first time voting, whaddaya expect??

Then I got home and realized that I had a cobweb all bunched up on the side of my shirt... complete with bits of leaves and a dead spider *oye...* How the hell did that get there?? lol... and knowing my luck that was with me went I went to vote.

I got an email from Mike, and later in the day we talked on AOL for about 15 minutes. And the nice thing is that here in like two months, I'll be like 15 miles away from him!! I don't know if he's in touch with anyone else, but we seem to get along quite well, based on what little we know about eachother. And he's pretty hot too ;)

Some more stuff...

Yesterday I though that I lost my keys at my grandmothers house. I didn't... they were buried under some stuff in my mom's van.

And at the cemetary today, the groundskeeper had a ton of American flags out... Up and down the trails there must have been over 100 of them, plus most of the graves had flags, flowers, or some form of decorations.

Memorial Day Weekend

On Sunday my family went out to my grandmothers place in Boise for a while. My brother and sister went swimming while my mom, grandmother, and myself all stayed on the side of the pool talking. While we were there talking, this cute porky Calico cat came up to us... she'd go between the three of us, jumping up on our laps and purring very loudly. Poor ol' thing looked as if she was pregnant... my grandmother said that it's been around the area, and that it even spent a few nights in her garage.

We got home, and as we were pulling in the driveway, one of our cats (Joe) caught a bird. As I got out of the van, he wolfed it down... head and everything... all but some feathers and part of a leg. And it was a good sized bird too... a sparrow I think... anyway yeah he didn't eat for the rest of the day, that little bird filled him up :)

And today we all went out to my grandfathers grave outside of New Plymouth. We met up with my step-grandmother at her place in Fruitland, then we went over to the gravesite. After we planted some miniature roses at his gravesite, my step-grandmother started talking about a wierd experience that she had a few months ago. She was driving home from Wal-Mart (which is just across the border in Oregon) and she had this instinct... this feeling... that my grandfather was with her. Then as she turned around a corner on the highway, right before her house, someone drove my grandfather's old green Ford truck by in the opposite direction. Then she said just two weeks ago, she was driving and on the side of the highway was his old '88 Ford F150, camper shell and everything. She said that she's not superstitious, but she did find those events rather odd.

Over the river and through the woods...

Here in a bit I'm leaving with my family to go to my grandmother's place in Boise. And my brother and sister more than likely will go swimming, but I won't. Although I'm physically fit (5'11", 155 pounds) I really don't have the best body to go showing off wearing JUST shorts... atleast I don't think I do anyway.

Last night I was talking to someone on AOL. Like me, he keeps one of these online journals, but his he keeps on freeopendiary.com. I've been reading his journal since about the middle of February. So him and I talked for about 45 minutes last night.

Well I better get ready to go... TTFN!!

Took a little trip with my brother

Okay my little brother has his learning permit for driving *eeks*... he's done with the classes, and all he has to do now is get his 40 hours or however long it is. Anyway I went along with him and my dad into Caldwell to get some movies. Now, when I'm driving, I accelerate so that if I'm coming up to a 55 MPH sign, I'm already going 55 by the time I pass it. My brother on the other hand... doesn't. On the way to Caldwell from here, it's 35 MPH until you take a corner and cross the river and a ditch. We crossed both of the bridges going 35 miles an hour, and my brother got passed. I on the other hand, start going 45 when I hit the end of the curve. Anyway so for the most part it was okay, he needed to work on his acceleration though, and his corners were a bit jerky.

Then we got home and I walked down to the store, and Scott was working. He was outside, putting new liners in the trash cans. We talked for a bit, then I went in to get a diet Pepsi. When I got out to the checkout he came up, and he started flirting with the cashier (who's pretty young... and who was also a girl too... kinda odd considering that Scott is gay). I said that it was my third time today getting something with caffine in it, and he told me that if I wanted a real buzz to get regular Pepsi. I told him that I didn't like regular Pepsi, he gave me this little smirk. Then he went talking to the cashier again, saying that there wasn't all that much for him to do. "Well, I could go drink some beer I suppose." he sarcastically said. lol... Scott Scott Scott... the cashier just broke out laughing, saying "yeah whatever..."

Anyhow... thats my blurb for now.

Kinda blah day...

Like I mentioned below, the job at the store in Greenleaf was taken, so that place is out of the question... Other than that I've kinda BSed around today.

When I came home from dropping my brother off at work and from my trek to Greenleaf, David, my neighbor a few houses down was outside setting up sprinklers in his lawn... wearing just his shorts ::drools::... He's in his 30s I know that, but he looks like hes 24... I soooo wanna do that guy!!

Hmm... what else... I found a guy up in Spokane who seems really interesting, and I dropped him a line. Now its just a matter of time before I get a reply back from him. Oh and his name is Mike, just like me :)

And here's something that's really been irking my chain for quite a while. For some reason, I have been very critical of things... like all of this bickering between the canidates for the various offices. Maybe all of the crap that the canidates are throwing at eachother is depressing me, I dunno. The canidates for the State Supreme Court have been very vocal, term limits is something else that's been thrown around like a dead fish, and everyone running for the two open County Commissioners have been using the whole proposed power plant as the complete basis of their entire campain. And then there's that FreeUp commercial... get a free Kyocera phone right?? Hmm... well how come all of the actors in the commerical have Nokia phones?? And this Rachel Peterson on Channel 6 is doing a HORRID job!! *changes TV to channel 7...*

05/24/2002

First and foremost, I finally found a way for people to post comments... if anyone'll do that remains to be seen...

The paper that we get from Nampa has a neat new feature... All of their photographers use digital cameras to take photos with. So when they're at an event, a few days later you can go online and view these tiny little thumbnails, and you can fill out a form to order prints of them. Well I was looking through the 65 or so photos, and I'm in one of them!! Can't say that I liked the way that I looked, but eh well. I right-clicked on it to save it. Ah ah ahh... can't do that!! Hmm... *adjusts halo...* Can't go File > Save As either... damn they really have that thing tightened down!! So I suppose that if I really wanted ALL of those photos, I'd have to hit Print Screen and paste them into PhotoStudio or something and crop the picture out.

When I was online getting my comments feature to work, Brandon was on. We started talking on AOL, and after that I called him and we talked for about 30 minutes... about odd things too. Like one of his cats had kittens a few days ago... on his bed. Then we talked about our pets... how they hunt down birds and mice and such. *changes radio station...* hehe... yeah Brandon's really nice and sweet, but we haven't met up in person yet. If all goes well, I'll meet him next Saturday (yeah how many times have I said that about people...)

As I mentioned on my last post, I went down to the Job Service office to look for a job. All in all I think that it went pretty good. My area has a large amount of Hispanics (about 15-20%), and these two guys who were working would speak in Spanish, then in English, then in Spanish again... back and forth. It was quite interesting actually... and somewhat confusing too. After that I went across the boulevard to WalMart and picked up some 32x CD-R's.

On the news tonight, most of the stations had a good sized story on the National Enquirer printing photos of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the two Columbine gunmen. One of those stories I linked to, on Channel 2... read it here. Okay... how f***ed up is that!?!? Sure the National Enquirer has a Constitutional right in the Freedom of Press, but who on God's green Earth wants to see those photos?? Not to mention if I were Eric's and Dylan's parents, I sure as hell would not want them printed!! If I were them, I'd kick National Enquirer's ass back a few decades!!

Guy stuff/computer stuff

I hopped on the internet at about 10:15 this morning. There are few other online journals that I read, and one of them is kept by a guy who goes to UCLA. (To see it, go here) He has his AOL name on there, so I added it to my list last night, but he was idle. But when I got on this morning, he was online, so I dropped him a message and we talked for about 10 minutes or so. At that time he had to leave for class, and soon after he got offline I got off the internet. (I actually do need to eat sometime... lol)

Then I got back on at around noon, and I put up away messages in AOL and MSN. When I returned, Scott's boyfriend Nick sent me a message, and we talked for a while too. Both Nick and the guy from UCLA are both really nice people :) *wanders around for a guy...*

Today I thought of how to transfer all the stuff off of the family's computer onto mine. Mine has a CD writer... and I have blank CDs... So all I'd have to do is take the CD writer out of the new computer, put it in the old one, and burn a CD with all of my stuff on it!! Not half bad of an idea, huh??

When my brother got home, he gave me a 44x CD drive for my computer. It was one that was in some computers that the school's going to scrap at the end of the year. So I got that in right now, and it works just fine. Actually it'll come in handy once I get some better blank CDs. The ones I picked up at WalMart yesterday were only 4x CD-RWs... eeks. 4x!! That's a bit slow... especially considering that I have a 16x burner... Then when I get better CDs, I can copy all of my CD singles onto one disk.

And I also got a package from some more of my relatives in Minnesota (the ones that weren't able to fly down). They gave me a huge duffle (sp?) bag, and inside were some bath towels... lol. And I really didn't expect anything from them... I was talking to a friend on the phone and my dad calls me to the living room... and there's a package that UPS had just dropped off.

Finally... yesterday when I published my entery... someone from Boise read it. Boise is like 35 miles away... Anyway, the person who read it came across my page before, by typing in "Vin Crosby" in Google. (Vin Crosby is the weatherman on Channel 12) Just though I'd share :)

The next day the teenager comes downstairs, and the grandmother is sitting there with no top on. The teenager wants to die! She explains to her grandmother that she has friends coming over and that it is just not appropriate.

The grandmother says, "Loosen up, Sweetie. If you can show off your rosebuds, then I can display my hanging baskets."

Caldwell has some really weird people...

This afternoon I went down to a Wells Fargo branch in Caldwell to open up a checking account. My dad left his Taurus home so that I could drive it, so he took his Dodge. On the way there, I was driving down 10th Avenue, which is two lanes in each direction. I was driving in the right lane, since I'd have to turn right once I got over an overpass. As I was approaching the intersection before the overpass (which is Chicago Avenue), this red Dodge car pulls out onto the road from a grocery store parking lot. The driver didn't turn sharp enough, so she ended up driving down the middle of both southbound lanes on 10th... and I was behind her, still in the right lane. She gradually goes into the left lane as she approaches the intersection. At the intersection is a stoplight, and when she pulled into the road, the light turned red. So for whatever reason, she stopped with her back tires in the middle of the crosswalk, and people going west on Chicago couldn't cross 10th Avenue because she was in the middle of the intersection. I'm right beside her in the right lane, and as I look ahead at the overpass, I see that the right lane is closed because the gaurdrails were being repainted. The light turns green, and I floor the gas so that I could get ahead of this lady... lol... you know those Ford Taurus' have alot of zip to them!! As I'm going up the overpass, I look at the rearview mirror, just to see that the lady is still stopped in hte middle of the intersection. I make it to Wells Fargo, and I in the process of having my checking account made, the computer system kept locking up. Fortunatly most

of the information was saved in the system, so that wasn't much of a big issue. The lady has been working behind the counter for quite a while, she said, but it was her first time by herself actually creating a new checking account on the computers. With a few quick phone calls and some help from Juan, we got it done.

As I was leaving Wells Fargo, I walked out to see a man, maybe in his 70s, standing at the door of my dad's car. He had some keys in his hand, and he was cussing at himself because he couldn't get the door unlocked. I jangled the keys as I approached the car, and he slowly turned around and looked at me. "Is this your car??" he quietly asked me. "Yes" I said. Then he realized he was trying to unclock a car that wasn't his. Needless to say he felt really embarassed, and he apologized like a million times to me. I said that it was okay, and that I've done that before too (not to the extent of cussing at myself though).

After that I went down to school, since it was 3 and classes were out for the day. I talked to the softball coach (my former American Government teacher) telling him that I really didn't want to go with the softball team to Twin tomorrow, since aside from the two hours or so of the game, I really wouldn't have a whole lot to do. He said that it was fine with him if I did or didn't go. Then I talked to my former Newspaper and Yearbook teacher. She wasn't at the graduation ceremony, since she was at a commencement ceremony at a college. So we talked for about half an hour. Since she's moving to Nebraska, before I left we shook hands and hugged. God I'm really going to miss her...

Anywho... I gotta send out an email to Scott... maybe he can come over tomorrow and help me out on these computers. My new computer has a network card in it, and my brother got one in the other computer, so we're trying to use a crossover cable to connect the two, but so far we haven't had much luck. Maybe Scott and I will talk about something more than computers... I dunno... hehe...

Last night when I was done with my computer, I put it into hibernate mode like I usually do. But I thought that when I did that, it would disconnect me from the internet. Nooooo... it doesn't!! So I got up at 2:30 this morning to turn it back on to disconnect it, but I had left a disk and a CD in the computer. It beeped at me for the disk, and the CD drive jetted up. Whoops... lol... the hwole time my brother is in the room sleeping...

UNSEND!! UNSEND!!

I just made an MSN email account, because my Netscape one won't allow me to use email software like Outlook or Eudora. So I made an MSN.com one, and unlike Hotmail, it doesnt work with Outlook Express. After I made the MSN.com account, I sent out an email to about 20 people telling them to use the MSN.com address... just to send them an email 5 minutes later telling them NOT TO!! AAAAH!! Sometimes I make the biggest ass out of myself...

The hole left behind...

A few days ago I mentioned that CableOne left a large hole in our back lawn. Well it's really not our lawn, it's alongside the ditch, so its mostly dirt and weeds instead of a lawn. Anyway, here's the pic:

Nice, huh?? The two white pipes are hte ones that CableOne put in, the black thingy is the phone line that CableOne hit. And theres the two green hoses that go from the pump to the sprinklers, and the gray cord is the electical line to the pump.

A lot has happened...

Well let's see...

Friday night I went with my dad and brother to Boise to pick up two of my aunts from the airport... they flew in from Minnesota. Their plane was supposed to arrive at 10, but the plane was delayed, and they didn't arrive until 10:30. While we were there, we were going to meet one of my cousins flying in from California (but she was going to stay with family in Boise, not with us). And her plane was supposed to arrive at 10:15, but it was early so she got here at 10. My dad, brother, two Aunts, and myself all got home at 11, and stayed up until 1 in the morning talking and socializing... since this is the first time we've seen them in two years.

On Saturday morning I went down to the school to attend a breakfast for all of the graduating seniors. After everyone got their food, they turned off most of the lights and displayed a PowerPoint slideshow of photos of the seniors... like baby pictures and the such. And some teachers spoke to the class.

I came back home, then my dad, brother, aunts, and myself all went to WalMart and picked up a computer for me *yay*... My aunts got it for me... they kinda splurged a bit, but they said that that was okay. Its a nice HP computer... 17" monitor, 1.6 gigahertz, 128 megs of RAM, 30 gigabyte hard drive, 16x/8x/40x CD-RW drive... not to shabby :) What's really odd was that after my aunt blew all of this money on me, she turns around and buys a $200 digital camera. Hey, she can afford it, since
she makes like twice as much as my parents do.

I had to be at the Idaho Center at 1 for my practice ceremony, and me being me I got there 20 minutes early. While I was there Jake called me and said that he wouldn't be able to make it to the ceremony because his allergies were killing him :( BUt he did say that I could go to his graduation ceremony on the 1st. The practice took about two hours, then I got home at around 3:15 and I quickly set up the computer. Oh, and along with my computer, I got a really nice quilt that another one of my aunts made... it's made of Levis, and it has Coca Cola squares in it too. And it came complete with red white and blue pillowcases and sheets, which match the quilt very nicely. I also got some really nice luggage (inside family joke...). Some of my cousins stopped by at 4, and I showed off my new gifts. lol... I brought one of my cousins into my room where the computer is... she looked at it and with a bit of shock to her voice said, "HOLY SHIT!!" lol... that's really not the reaction I had anticpated from her!! From her brother yeah, but not HER!! At around 4:30 we ate dinner, which was fantabulous!! Afterwards my aunt who bought the camera tried to get the thing to work... it didn't. Not on my computer or the other one. So she said that she'd take it home with her and try to get it to work on her computer at home.

At 5:30 I left for the group photo of the graduating class... followed by the commencement ceremony. The photographer had his light umbrellas set up, and people who were nearby taking photos would accidentally set off the umbrella lights. Before the photographer started taking pictures, he told the people to not take any pictures. Well people kept on taking pictures, and the photographer got to the point where he was yelling at the people to stop taking photos. After the group photo was taken, we had to line up in alphabetical order with our caps and gowns on, in a lobby area on the lower level of the Idaho Center, away from the view of the audience. Knowing my luck, I was standing outside in the full sun, burning up like a turkey in an oven. Finally the ceremony started, and I was sitting four rows infront of the podium on the stage.

The ceremony started at 7, and it was pretty good. One of the Salutatorians, who is a very good singer... started singing "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor. The rest of the Salutatorians and Valedictorians started dancing along too. The superintendent, who too was sitting there on the stage... was just staring at them... like he wasn't happy with what was going on. Some of the board members were lauging their guts out, as was most of the graduating class and the spectators. Then my American Government teacher came up to the podium to give his speech. Being himself, it had a large amount of humor and sarcasm. Towards the end he started talking about the two kids who were killed when they were playing on an embankment that gave way. He was one of the first people there, and the kids were about 8 feet under sand. He was giving his speech, and he literally started crying. And here I am, sitting down, and I swear you could water the lawn with all the tears that were coming out of me. I was looking into the audience and there were alot of people crying too.

After that, they started handing out the diplomas, and I got mine *woohoo!!* After I got my diploma, I went around shaking hands with the teachers, and I got about 10 really big hugs out of it too. My gym teacher from 7th grade gave me a small item wrapped in gift wrap, complete with an envolope on it with my name. I said thanks, and then I went on down the line, shaking more hands and getting more hugs. When the ceremony was all done, people went onto the center floor and met up with the graduating class. The computer teacher who's off on maturnity leave was there, and I got to see her ADORABLE little son. He was in his stroller, asleep. He had a small blanket over him... as we were talking, she took the blanket off of the baby, and he had one of those falling reflexes. A nearby teacher was beside us, and saw the baby jolt and gave out this sarcastic, "Nancy!!" We all looked at eachother and laughed... hehe... When we were done talking I gave her a hug. She was still thinking that she was pregnant, because she was all hunched over when she hugged me.

I got home at about 9:30, and then I met with the rest of the family, had some cake, tinkered around on hte computer some more. Finally at 11, the rest of the gang had left except for the two aunts who were staying with us. One of my aunts said that she wanted a bite to eat before she went to bed, so she got herself a hotdog and nuked it, and got a diet Coke out of the fridge. Then my other aunt came up and got some chips. Then my brother and I came into the kitchen, and we all started talking. Soon we were all playing Michigan Rummy... we played until 1:30 in the morning!! My aunts had to be at the airport at 7:15, so they went to sleep just to get up at 5:30. Well I was so frigging tired I just slept in while my dad and brother took the aunts to the airport.

At 11:00 I woke up *yeeks*... I ate breakfast (if you want to call it that) and took a shower. When I was done with my shower, my mom asked me if I wanted to go into Boise with her, to meet up with parts of my family. And to go with them to the airport to drop off my cousin (the one who gave the odd reaction to the computer). By 12:15 we were at the airport, and my uncle, aunt, grandmother, and cousin met up with us. The flight that my cousin was to take was delayed 30 minutes, plus it wasn't supposed to leave until 2:10 anyway. So we went to a resteraunt in the airport and got some pop to drink. After we left the airport we all went to my grandmother's house, where we got a small bite to eat. Everyone deceided to go to Red Robin, so we went. Now... the Red Robin we went to is right by a small pond, and right outside of the resteraunt is a small volleyball court, complete with sand and everything. So we went down to our seat, and I had a view of the volleyball court. Even better, it was all men playing *yum*... so when I wasn't talking or eating, I managed to sneak in a few glances at the guys playing volleyball.

My mom and I got home at around 3:30... then she and my brother left to go see Star Wars. While they were gone, I got two phone cords that have been lying around my place since forever, and I had a connector too. So my dad and I managed to get the cord to go from the jack in his room into mine. So I had to into the crawlspace, with cobwebs, spiders, dust and Lord knows what else. When I was all done I was REALLY dirty, and I took yet another shower. After that I hooked the phone line up to my computer, just to find out that it DIDN'T WORK!! hmm... maybe I should have tried connecting the computer to the jack with those cords BEFORE I went under the house...

This morning I went down to the hardware store and I bought some new phone cords. So instead of the cords going under the house, they go from the corner of my bedroom (where the computer is), under my door, up the molding of the door, across the molding of the doors to the bathroom and furnace, across an opening to the kitched, down the wall to a phone jack behind the TV in the living room. Yeah it looks really tacky, but hey it works!! :)

Oh boy... hey that's a reeeeally long post, and my hands are killing me, so that's that for now. Later folks!!

I've been busy... and will be!!

Well let's start off with yesterday. It was my last day of school!! And tomorrow I graduate (and I get to see Jake too *yay*)!!

At about 5:30 last night, a plane crashed into a house in south Boise. Needless to say that's something that doesn't happen every day. Channel 7 had a story up on their page (complete with pictures)... to see it go here.

Last night was an awards ceremony at my school. I got awards for receiving the Idaho Promise Scholarship, a $100 scholarship from the school district, and an award for two years of perfect punctuality. So I got called up three times, each time having to shake the hands of all the teachers afterwards. Derek received an award (and standing ovation) for being the person that this years yearbook was dedicated to. And an award was given to a middle school teacher who retired four years ago. She was my 7th grade gym teacher, and she was really really nice. The principal was up on the stage, and said that this teacher was tricked into coming here... she was told that she was to present an award... not to receive one. She too received a loud applause and a standing ovation... by the time she got to the stage from her seat she was crying really really hard... and her face was all red from emotion. Even my mom who was sitting beside me had to wipe her eyes.

Afterwards we got some Blizzards at DQ, then we went home.

This morning I had to run down to the school to drop off some papers and a cable, and to pick up an award plaque that wasn't available when it should have been presented to me last night. I got home and a crew from CableOne was working behind my house again. They were there on Monday, but they came back because they had to bury another pipe. While they were doing that they hit a phone line, so about 6 houses close to mine were without phones. So a crew from Qwest, as well as a surveyor were out. A surveyor was out there last week, turns out he marked out a dead TV cable instead of a live phone trunk. Oops. Luckily our phone didn't go out, but we had people from the surveyor, Qwest, and from CableOne parked out infront of the house. The sight of the envoy lured over a really annoying 12 year old from about 2 blocks down. Trust me, this kid is SO ANNOYING it's not even funny... he's really curious, but after a short while he's just a pain in the rump!! So he was back by were they were working, and after they were done he was still there. I told him that he had to leave, since the crew was done and that he was on private property. He said that it wasn't private property, because he was behind a fence. So I said, "Umm... I've lived here longer than you've been alive, I know where the property line is... it's along the ditch. Everything from the road out front to the ditch, and inbetween the fences is our property. You have to leave now... they're all done." Well that didn't do a whole lot... he still was arguing with me. Finally after about 5 minutes of me nagging the hell out of him (I almost got to the point where I was yelling at him to leave) he FINALLY left! Ugh... sometimes I want to smack that kid upside the head!! *grr*...

Here in like an hour I have to leave to pick up some relatives at the Boise airport... so I better wrap this up.

"Don't worry... he's not purple"

hehe... yeah that's what the lady told me while I was at Great Clips getting my haircut. There was a guy next to me cutting hair (obviously gay)... as I was sitting there having my hair cut, he reached over to get a bottle of hair gel. Now I don't know if he did this intentionally or what, but he dropped the bottle and it went down my legs and I caught it with my feet. He said in a really flammy way, "OOOOOH!! I'm soooo sorry!!" lol... then the lady cutting my hair said, "don't worry, he's not purple." hehe... I've never heard that expression before *remembers that line...* But now my hair looks really nice... it's short... just the way I like it. Number three clippers on the sides, a bit longer on top, not much though. Anyway the guy next to me kept doing wierd things... like he was humming to a song on the radio and he did this, "Hmm? Oh was I doing that?? (giggles) Yeah I'm just a little drama queen today!" I can't say that he was cute, but he did have nice legs :) Neat things show when your wearing shorts... hehe... plus he had a cool little tatoo above his ankle.

I had one semester exam today - in my English class... and I have a feeling that I did pretty good on it. Before the test, the teacher made a spot for it in the computer gradebook, and since I had a 101% in there second quarter and a 94% in that class this quarter, I could get a 60% on the semester exam and still have a 90% in that class. But in all honesty, I think I got something like a 85% on the semester exam. My American Government class on the other hand... yeeks. Right now I have a 77% in there, and even if I get a 100% on that exam (yeah right), I'd squeak by with at best an 81-82%... hmm... not as good as I could be, but it's not real bad... The American Government test shouldn't be all that hard... we get to use a cheat sheet on it, plus most of it involves the state government on down, not the federal government (contrary to the course name).

mmm... oh I forgot to mention this yesterday, but I might as well mention it now. Yesterday in my American Government class... towards the end of class... I reached into my pocket to pull out a pen that I had in there. In the process my keys fell out onto the floor. Derek, someone who sits to me, asked me what I was doing with my hands in my pockets. Jokingly I said, "let's not go there Derek". Then he said, "whoa... that was a case of deja vu right there... like I've seen that happen before!! You leaned back to pull something out of your pockets, I say some smart-ass remark, and you say 'let's not go there Derek'... Now it'll really be freaky if Kristi drops her book off of her desk, because for some reason that's something that I saw at the same time you did that!" lol... yeah I think that car wreck last year kinda jostled up Dereks head a bit... hehe

Well... ONE more test tomorrow and I AM DONE!! *does a little dance...*

Oh... and one of my aunts and I right now are playing email tag... hehe :)

Tata folks!!

During first hour of class, Anne stated nagging me for the photos again!! And I just snapped right back... (hmm... can you say CATFIGHT?!?!) the teacher told her that having the photos taken were her responsibility, and that since I have alot going on, I don't need any more stuff to do than what I already have. Yeah I care about the paper, it's just that she needs to take some responsibility for herself and not pass her workload to others.

So after my little bout with Anne, I had to go get a dolly and keys to a closet so that I could get the yearbooks and take them down to the same teacher. Now that was fun :) After getting frustrated because I went to the wrong storage closet (oops) I had to take 8 boxes of books (4 boxes per trip... each box weighs about 50 pounds) from the closet to the classroom, then I saw the cover to them that I designed :) Veery nice!! Okay one person said it looked like crap... right in front of my face!! jackass... but I told her that I was the one that designed it... she just said a real quick "oh".

Jake and I have been playing email and phone tag for hte past few days. *checks phone for any voicemail messages...* mmm... no messages. I guess that I'll just send him an email after I type this up. He told me in an email that he'd call at 5:30 tonight, but he called at 5 when I was at school taking softball stats. I called him back, just to get a busy signal. When I did get through, he wasn't there. So I left a message with someone (sounded like Logan...) and it's a little past 8 and he Jake hasn't called me back.

And for softball... well out team lost, which means we don't play in Twin next week. It's sad that they lost, but I really didn't want to go all the way to Twin for three days had we won. Anyway, the parents of one of the softball players at my school owns a TON of music and PA equipment, so they were out there giving commentary. One of the girls from the opposing team (Weiser... but Brandon wasn't there *waa*...) hit a fly ball that landed in the parking lot, and they played a sound effect of glass breaking and a car alarm going off. And there were actually some people who thought that their car was indeed hit... lol.

It's the beginning of the end...

Today is my first day of my last week of school!! *yay*... needless to say yeah it's a little bittersweet.

En route to school, David, the early-30-something neighbor of mine whom I kinda find attractive (eeks) was walking out the door of his place to his truck as I walked out my door. As I walked by his house he had already pulled out of his driveway and drove past me. I heard some real quick honks from the horn... not really honks but more like crakles... and I look over and he waved at me, and I waved back.

Next year's editor of the newspaper, "Anne", is in control of this last issue, and she has been driving me INSANE!! She needs pictures of about 16 people... most of them are in pairs, and during the periods that I can take them out of class, atleast one of them has a teacher that won't allow me to pull them from class. So in that sense I'm screwed... but the teacher told me not to worry about it, since I'm busy enough, Anne shouldn't be throwing stuff at me anyways. Tomorrow I'm going to talk to the teacher... I don't want to be a complete ass in this whole thing, but I really don't have the time or the pacience in doing all of this. Yes I am the photographer, but there's more to school than me taking pictures ALL the time. I mean, I graduate in what... 5 days... and I have to study for some tests and I have more things that are more important.

Aaanyway... during yearbook class, I burned a CD with the last of the pages... those pages will be in an insert that we'll get in August. And tomorrow we get our yearbooks... with the cover that I designed :)

And in my English class I got my senior paper back. I got a 84% on it... I talked to him after class and he said that an 84% was actually pretty high in comparison to the rest of the papers. After we got our papers passed back he showed us our grades, and I had a 101%. Now that didn't seem right... I got a 95% and a 100% on two smaller projects, and a 84% on my paper... my grade before that (the last time I saw it) was a 97%... now that doesn't seem right. So he finally realized that he printed out the grades for the 3rd quarter instead of the 2nd semester like he had wanted to. On the correct grade printout I have a 94%, which is a little more realistic grade given the circumstances.

After my 5th hour class, I walked back to the main building for lunch (my 5th hour class is in a different building) and a 7th grader, Tevis, asked me if I had called his dad yet. His dad is really into photography, as am I, and he wants me to... I dunno... look at some pics or something. So I was talking to Tevis and one of Cody's little sisters (who was walking behind Tevis) said, "Cody's hot, huh?" Yeeks... that's the second thing she's told me that gives me the idea that Cody told her that I'm bi... like 3 weeks ago she asked me if I liked Cody. Well yeah I like Cody... just and only as a friend though. He's straight (trust me he is...), so it's not like I hit on him all the time or anything.

Last night I sent Scott an email, telling him that I wanted to talk to him about meeting up with Jake and Matt on Saturday. I told him to catch me at school if he had a few minutes (like at lunch...). At lunch I went to the classroom where he normally hangs out and he didn't talk to me... so I suppose he hasn't read the email yet. And since he's not out to anyone at school other than myself, I really felt no obligation to bring the email up, since it would involve the two of us talking about our sexuality with the possibility of others overhearing the conversation.

I got home at about 1:30 from school, and a crew from a firm hired by CableOne had three trucks parked infront of my house. Boy when they say they'd be out there as soon as two days after giving notice, they ain't kiddin'!! My dog had to go out and pee, so instead of letting him out in the backyard like I normally do (and bark his lungs out at the workers) I put a leash on him and took him out front. By 3:30 they left... and here it is almost 10 to 5 and they're still gone. More than likely they'll be back tomorrow though.

And at 7 tonight I have to take stats... it'd be kinda interesting if it's a long game... lol. 8:30... it's dusk... I imagine that if it goes any later than 8:45 or so that they'll call the game off, since by 9 it'd be too dark to play. And there's a game tomorrow, then the next ones (if we win these two) will be the later part of next week... WAAAAY out in Twin :)

Spring cleaning

Today I did a ton of cleaning... my bedroom, did some lawnwork. And boy it was warm today too... like 74!! I had to change into a t-shirt and shorts!! hehe... but here pretty soon I'll have a spot for my computer. And I was talking to my brother, he wants to buy me an all-in-one machine to go with it:

I kept on telling my brother he didn't have to spend $150 on me, but he said he's really considering about buying it for me. And along the lines of Lexmark products *ahem*, the printer on this computer still won't work... not on USB or parallel ports. I'll get it to work... eventually :)

Like I mentioned below, I started an IM with who I thought was Matt... soon after I posted that up, the real Matt sent me an IM back, and for the most part all that the conversation was consisted of me jogging his memory of who I was. We've psuedo-met before, at the dance back in April. His friend didn't know how to get to the dance, so he asked if anyone knew how to get there... I said I did and he handed me the phone. I had to leave for dinner, by that time he remembered who I was, and when I got back online he was still on. He didn't reply my IM, and a bit later he went idle on me. And I'm fine with that... that happens to me all the time, no big deal.

hehe... oh yeah anohter guy sighting: I was walking into town to return some PS2 games... this soccer stud driving a red Trooper drove by... tight red shirt showing off his biceps and pecs... little yellow bead necklace... blonde hair with frosted tips... ::drools::... I was looking behind me because I was staring at him, and I walked into a construction detour sign *whoops*... actually my foot hit the sandbags that kept it weighted down, but nonetheless it was embarassing enough for me. (yeah I was feeling a bit clutzy today... lol)

Well I have some emails to send out, and I need to put some water on the lawn... it's getting a bit parched :X

05/11/02

It's Saturday, which meant I had to take my brother to work. All in all I ended up driving to Caldwell 3 times... hehe. The first time to drop my brother off at work, the second time to drop off some chairs at the Salvation Army, followed by a trip to Moxie Java for a drink (double shot... I'm bouncing off the walls!!). Then the third time to get my brother. On the way back from that trek I had to stop by WalMart to get some medicine for my sister, then my brother wanted to stop by Sears. It's just a small outlet store, not the big gigantic Sears stores... but still it was nice. They had a HDTV set up and OMG those things are SAWEET!! Too bad I don't have $4,000 *ikes*... when I was looking at the display card, I looked at the screen just to see blurrs... I was too close to the screen to tell that it was an NBA game going on.

hmm... still... there's no one on AOL :/

Speaking of which, I haven't heard from Ty for a really really long time, and I'm starting to get a bit worried. Although we've been talking since Christmas Eve, I still haven't seen a pic of him. But online he's really nice and sweet, plus I'm like the only one that he really even talks to.

My mom left at 2 to go with her mom and sister-in-law to go shopping. Here it is almost 7 and she's still gone. Not that there's anything wrong with that :)

I walked down to the grocery store to get a pop from the quarter maching (it wouldn't take my money though) and Jared was inside at the checkout ::drools::... he's the only one that seemed really shocked when I told him that I'm bisexual... I told him and he gave me this "REALLY!?!?" I don't think he noticed me though... But as I was walking home he drove past me in his little Toyota truck. Although it's black, when it's in hte sunlight it gets a green tint to it.

And I still need to clean up my room some... trying to make room for my new computer. hehe... and here I am... the packrat of the family, trying to get rid of some of the crap that I don't need anymore.

Don't drink the water...

...from Homedale. YUCK!! Tastes like it came from a sewage line or something. Now I feel contaminated!! lol... Actually it comes straight from a well... so when you fill a glass (or in my case an empty diet Pepsi bottle), the water is cloudy for a few minutes, then it clears up. But even when it's cloudy, it's perfectly fine to drink it. Unless when it reeks of SEWAGE!!

Yeah I had to take stats at Homedale... nice little town... kinda. It would be better, but most of it is all ran-down. Kinda like an ill-fated version of my town :/

Aside from strong winds from the west, and a few fly balls from the JV game, it was pretty nice. We won 18-5, hehe... that's the biggest spread so far this year I think. The City developed a really nice ballpark... all 6 fields have an electric scoreboard, something my school doesn't have.

Before I left for the game, I noticed someone on the other side of the fence in our back yard. He was walking with a post thingy with a box on the bottom... searching for something. Then when I came back home from Homedale, there was a doorhanger from CableOne. They were letting us know that sometime (maybe next week) they'd be in our area, and they have to tear up part of our lawn so that they can upgrade the cable lines that pass through our property. Hmm... could this mean that my area will be getting cable internet?? :)

mmm... meatball sub from Blimpies... ::drools::

Softball at Fruitland

I had to take stats at our game at Fruitland. And as usual, their Sean was there watching the game ::drools::... and so was that same guy that I mentioned about two weeks ago, also from Fruitland, also running around with his shirt off.

Jake and I have been doing a round of email tag the past few days... trying to arrange it so that he can come to my graduation ceremony.

Hmm... Night and Day contacts... I need to get a trial pair of those... lol... yeah I'm due for an eye exam here pretty soon.

Well I'd write more, but ER is on, and my dad has to hit the sack here in a few minutes.

*whew*

I somehow managed to get all three of my English projects turned it today! So needless to say I am REALLY relieved :)

After school I had to take my brother into Nampa to get his paycheck. On the way there we had to stop for some construction, so as I slowly drove by, I saw what they were doing. There was this DEEP DEEP hole... and there were like 4 people in there working. I swear I got height sickness just by looking down that far... lol. I was at a stoplight there in Nampa in the left turn lane, waiting to get on the Boulevard. No one was behind me (thank God) and a semi came to make a right turn. Now these things make really wide right turns, so I looked behind me, popped the van into reverse and backed up like 15-20 feet so that he could turn without taking out the car :)

And on the way back I was waiting at the same construction spot (darn flaggers... hehe), and one of my teachers drove by in the opposite direction. My brother asked me if he could honk the horn, I regretfully said yes. So when she drove by, "honk hooooooooonk hooonk hoooooooonk" Either my brother really likes this teacher (yeah right) or he was just playing with the horn :) Or trying to send something in Morse code, I dunno...

I'm still waiting for a girl at school to give me some information... because I still have 2 stories I need to write for the newspaper before next Monday.

Oh and the weather today is much better than it was yesterday! Mostly sunny... temps in the upper 60s. And yesterday it was snowing!! That's Idaho weather for you I suppose.

Hmm... I need a haircut :/

I sent my Aunt an email about the computer... she sent me one asking which computer I wanted, and to let me (and my parents) know about when her and another one of my aunts is arriving. They arrive at 10:35 at NIGHT!! Yeesh... if I'm going with my family to pick them up, I'm gonna be one pooped out person by the time Sunday comes. Eh well... Here's the computer:

"Dude, you're getting a Dell"

Last night one of my aunts from Minnesota called me. As we were talking about my graduation plans, she said that she was wanting to buy me a computer for my graduation gift. A... BRAND... NEW... COMPUTER... At first I was reluctant, saying that she didn't have to give me one. But she was like, "No Michael, I'm getting you one!" Okey... lol... She was looking at a Dell computer, she gave me the link to it in an email. Pretty nice machine :) And she also said that I could look around, and if there was one that I liked that costed about as much as the Dell, that she'd get it for me. So the Dell she was looking at has a 1.3 GHz processor, 20 GB hard drive, 128 MB of RAM, 48 speed CD drive, 56k modem (but I'll neet a 10/100 base T card for the college network, no biggie though, they're like $20), WinXP... it sure burns up the one that my family has... lol

Today Jonna "Burn-Down-the-Houses" Weber spoke to my American Government class. It actually went better than I though it would, she never did mention the power plant. While I did agree with her on several of her issues, I'm still not voting for her because of all that she did during the public hearings on the power plant. So I got to the classroom, and the teacher (who knows that I hate her guts) tells me to go down to the office and escort her to his classroom. Eeks... So I went down to the office and escorted her to the classroom. And we talked... she wanted to know where I was wanting to go to college at, and that last week she spoke at Emmett High School (aka Dolly Parton High... I mentioned it like a month ago). Then she spoke for about 15 minutes and then she left.

After school got out, I started walking home. It's the middle of May... and it was SNOWING outside!! It wasn't sticking, but it was coming down. Then at about... 2:45 or so it started up again. And Jake called me, and we talked for about 10 minutes because I had to do some last minute work on my English projects. He's wanting to come to my graduation, but the way it's looking, he'll have to find a ride over here after he and his new boyfriend Ethan are done with a date. Guys... hehe... So I really can't drive out to Nampa for my practice ceremony, to Boise and wait for over an hour for him and Ethan to finish up, then drive back home for an hour just to drive back to Nampa. It'd be easier if he got a ride out here, which he said he can do. So that's all peachy-keen :)

I gotta send out some emails, then do some stuff for school *gags*... so later folks!

Burnt out :(

I got 2 of my 3 English projects done and out of the way *yay*... but I'm really REALLY burnt out right now. In a way that's kinda good, considering that I really can't work on that third project until I get to school. And I have two stories to write up for my newspaper class, but I don't have much info yet for either one. Oye... I'll survive... lol... somehow. So I suppose that I'll write one of the stories tomorrow... then 5th hour work on my English project. Actually I could work on it 3rd hour while Weber is flapping her dentures to my American Government class... then work on it some more 5th hour. And I'm just praying to God that I won't have to present my project on Wednesday... that way I can work on it some more on Wednesday night and on Thursday.

I'm the kind of person who can live off of five hours of sleep, it just takes me a while to get going after I wake up though. But all of this stress that I'm going through (which is not as bad as it seems really)

And while I didn't mention it, a few days ago I had a reall weird dream. I was out in the field south of my high school/east of the junior high school... there were these large towers of somekind, why the were there I don't know. And off to the east was a large collection of telescopes. Again, I have no clue what they represent or why they were there. But this cylinder, like those that helium is stored in, came falling out of the sky and hit a green metal box sitting beside one of the towers. Then there was a bright blue flash off east of the telescopes. Then I woke up. Okay... probably really confused you... lol... so here: (pardon the poor pen and scan)

Well that's about that for now. Oh, I did get an email from Jake today... if all goes well he'll be attending my graduation ceremony next week :)

Two... yeah at the races there was a hearse that was raceing. For more on that, go to this page.

Can you hear me? Eww...that's not good...

At 10 this morning I left to go to Firebird drag strip. The only thing that I forgot was that there's no cell phone service out there. Atleast not for VoiceStream phones anyway... despite the fact that there's two cell towers in sight, there's a ton of hills in the area. So after being there for about four hours I went down to Emmett to get something to eat and to call home, since the Emmett valley has cell service. Then I went back, snapped some more pics and at around 5 I left for home. And right now I'm at home, reeking of exhaust *yuck*... for some reason I smell like alcohol exhaust... hmm...

There was a GIGANTIC turn out over there!! About 32 schools showed up, with over 450 students racing. It's about 7:15 and it's probably still going on... it's one of those all day events. When I left they were finally doing the elimination rounds, when I got there they were doing time trials. But I took about 50 pictures, two of which are of this guy from Eagle, but that's another story :) Oh and that guy from Fruitland that I have a crush on was there too... I even started a little conversation with him, but it didn't lead to anything because in the middle of it his division was called to the lines.

On Wednesday I have three things due in my English class, so I'll be woking on those for the next few days, since all of them really will impact my grade.

Races tomorrow

Yay! Kinda...

I forgot to ask the folks who are going to Firebird tomorrow what time the events start... there's nothing up on Firebird's web page about it... hmm... maybe I should call 100.3, since for the past week they said that they'd be there as a sponsor of the high school drags. But nonetheless it should be very nice... temps tomorrow are supposed to be in the upper 60s, so pants anyway are not out of the question. Last year my school did pretty well, except that I was wearing shorts and I didn't put any sunscreen on, so I was burnt really bad :( And I have some school work to do, so while I'm waiting between races atleast I'll be reading stuff... I really can't work on my paper considering that I won't be anywhere near a computer. But I do have other stuff that I'll be working on.

Other than that, I've kinda BSed today... I got to sleep in for the first Saturday in about three weeks, which was a plus. My mom had to volunteer at a fundraiser, and so she took my brother to work then went to the fundraiser. The only downside was that I had to keep an eye on my little sister for about two hours. For the most part that went fine, she got into some of my brother's candy, and so when he got home he was REALLY upset with my sister.

My grandma came over to see our new centeral air system, and to talk and have dinner with us. Right as she got there my sister started having a temper tantrum which lasted about 15 minutes. So that's pretty much all that happened today... I haven't received emails from any of the local guys for a while, so I'll type them up after this.

The hampster story...

Like a month ago I promised someone by the name of Jeremy on one of the GLBT support sites that I'm a member of that I'd post this. I originally posted it up on the message boards of the site, but it didn't work. So here it is, the hampster story:

The hamster story:

If you have raised kids, and gone through the pet syndrome including toilet-flush burial's for dead goldfish, the story below will have you laughing out LOUD!!!

Overview: I had to take my son's hamster to the vet. Here's what happened:

Just after dinner one night, my son came up to tell me there was "something wrong" with one of the two hamsters he holds prisoner in his room. "He's just lying there looking sick," he told me.

"Oldest trick in the book, son," I informed him. "You go in to see what's wrong with the sick one and the other one sneaks up behind you and bonks you on the head. Then they change into your clothes and escape."

"I'm serious, Dad. Can you help?"

I put my best hamster-healer expression on my face and followed him into his bedroom. One of the little rodents was indeed lying on his back, looking stressed. I immediately knew what to do. Call the professional.

"Honey," I called, "come look at the hamster!" "Oh, my gosh," my wife diagnosed after a minute. "She's having babies." "What?" my son demanded. "But their names are Bert and Ernie, Mom!"

I was equally outraged. "Hey, how can that be? I thought we said we didn't want them to reproduce," I accused my wife. "Well, what did you want me to do, post a sign in their cage?" she inquired. (I actually think she said this sarcastically!)

"No, but you were supposed to get two boys!" I reminded her, (in my most loving, calm, sweet voice). "Yeah, Bert and Ernie!" My son agreed. "Well, it's just a little hard to tell on some guys," she informed me. (Again with the sarcasm, you think?)

By now the rest of the family had gathered to see what was going on. I shrugged, deciding to make the best of it. "Kids, this is going to be a wondrous experience," I announced. "We're about to witness the miracle of birth." "OH, Gross!", they shrieked.

"Well, isn't THAT just Great!; what are we going to do with a litter of tiny little hamster babies?" my wife wanted to know. (I really do think she was being snotty here, too. Don't you?) "Well, when my parents' dogs had puppies, I took them up to the grocery store in a cardboard box and gave them away," I recalled.

"So what are you going to do, go up with a pair of tweezers so people can pick out their hamster?" she asked. (Gotta love her!)

We peered at the patient. After much struggling, what looked like a tiny foot would appear briefly, vanishing a scant second later. "We don't appear to be making much progress," I noted. "A breech birth," my wife whispered, horrified.

"Do something, Dad!" my son urged. "Okay, okay." Squeamishly, I reached in and grabbed the foot when it next appeared, giving it a gingerly tug. It disappeared. I tried again, with the same results. "Should I dial 911?" my eldest daughter wanted to know. "Maybe they could talk us through the trauma." (You see a pattern here with my females?)

"Let's get Ernie to the vet," I said grimly. We drove to the vet with my son holding the cage in his lap. "Breathe, Ernie, breathe," he urged. "I don't think hamsters do Lamaze," his mother noted to him. (Women can be so cruel to their own young. I mean what she does to me is one thing, but this boy is "of her womb", for God's sake.)

The vet took Ernie back to the examining room and peered at the little animal through a magnifying glass. "What do you think, Doc, an epidermal?" I suggested scientifically. "Oh, very interesting," he murmured. "Mr. and Mrs. Cameron, may I speak to you privately for a moment?" I gulped, nodding for my son to step outside.

"Is Ernie going to be okay?" my wife asked. "Oh, perfectly," the vet assured us. "This hamster is not in labor. In fact, that isn't EVER going to happen... Ernie is a boy."

"What!?" "You see, Ernie is a young male. And occasionally, as they come into maturity, male hamsters will, master, er, er, ah..." He blushed, glancing at my wife. "Well, you know what I'm saying, Mr. Cameron."

We were silent, absorbing this. "So Ernie's just...just...Excited?", my wife offered. "Exactly," the vet replied, relieved that we understood. More silence. Then my viscous, cruel woman started to giggle. And giggle. And then even laugh loudly.

What's so funny?" I demanded, knowing, but not believing that the woman married would commit the upcoming affront to my flawless Manliness. Tears were now running down her face.

"Just...that...I'm picturing you pulling on its...its...teeny little..." she gasped for more air to bellow in laughter once more.

"That's enough," I warned. We thanked the Veterinarian and hurriedly bundled the hamsters and our son back into the car. He was glad everything was going to be okay. "I know Ernie's really thankful for what you've done, Dad," he told me. "Oh, you have NO idea," my wife agreed, collapsing into laughter as I gave her a dirty look. (And women have the gall to go though the marriage ceremony with a straight face!)

Aww... *wipes away tears*

OMG ER last night was SO SAD!! I only watched the first half hour or so, and I was almost crying!!

I got my rough draft of my English paper back today... I didn't do too bad actually. If I made the corrections that my teacher put on the paper and submitted it as my final draft, he said I'd get maybe an 88% on it. Not to shabby I'd say :)

This afternoon I took my brother and two of his friends to go see The Scorpion King. Earlier in the day the softball coach/American Government teacher asked me if I wanted to go with the team to the same theater to watch Spider Man. I said nothanks, since I had alreadly planned on taking my brother and his freinds there. So I dropped them off and I went down to the mall to return a pair of shorts. I didn't get very much back, only $15, considering I paid $20 for the shorts. Then I roamed around the mall, not really wanting to spend any money. Which was fine since I really didn't want to spend any, I just wanted to kill time before I had to pick the guys back up again. And as usual there were like 10 guys I was frawning over... lol... there was even a really REALLY hot girl there OMG... but she was a lesbian :/ It kinda showed when she started holding hands with another woman.

At about 6:15 I went back to the theater to wait for my brother and his friends, and as I was sitting in the lobby waiting the softball team came out, and they all gathered around me and we started talking... lol... most of them were suprised to even see me there since I said I wasn't going... lol... Then at about 6:30 the cell phone rings, and it's my brother saying that the movie was over. I told him that I'd meet him in the lobby as I dropped him off. Sometimes he has the attention span of a gnat, I swear... hehe. So I told him that I was out in the lobby and he said, "You owe me fifty cents!!" Yeah right buddy...

Well that's about it for now :)

OMG!!

Okay after totally BSing at school today (for the most part anyway) I got home and hopped on AOL. Dustin was online, and he IM me. We eventually decided that I'd call him, and we talked on the phone for about 20 minutes. Half of the time I was tinkering with the theromostat trying to get the furnace on... lol. At around 1:45 I had to call Brandon, so I finished up my call with Dustin and gave Brandon a call. He was at the mall, but we didn't talk long because he was almost out of minutes on his cell phone. So I hopped back on AOL again and Dustin was still on :) I started another IM and we must have talked for like 45 minutes. Needless to say we learned alot about eachother ;) While I was talking to him, this girl who got my screen name off of a website started this IM with me, and I really REALLY felt uncomfortable talking to her. So here's how it went (I changed her screenname):

JunoSurvivor: do you mind if I be bluntly honest for a sec?
"TD": Why not? If I can mad, I can curse you out.
JunoSurvivor: I really feel uncomfortable talking to a 13 year old on AOL...
JunoSurvivor: since I'm 18
"TD": Why? Just out of curiosity
JunoSurvivor: it just seems really... out of the ordinary for me
"TD": It could we worse. My friend John if 52, gay, and talks to me about the Ramones DAILY.
JunoSurvivor: I'm sure that your a nice person and all, but I really do feel uncomfortable in doing this
"TD": Why?
Didn't I say why?? I'll tell you why... this is an 13 year old girl!! C'mon... I feel like I'm talking to my little sister for crying out loud!! Not to mention I really did feel uncomfortable about doing that, and the poor English didn't help out much either. She kept on nagging me and eventully I just blocked her off of my AOL list. Yeah I'm really curel, huh?

At 3 the rest of the gang got home, and my mom wanted me to go to Nampa to get some hotdog buns for work... 150 of them!! Now I felt a little out of place becase I'm buying 20 packages of 8 pack hotdog buns (hmm... 8x20=160... 8x19=152... I guess 19 packages would have done just fine). After some stares being thrown at me and my brother at the store, we trekked down the boulevard so that he could get his paycheck. And I also dropped him off at the bank so that he could deposit it. The we went home and I went to the school to take pics of the track meet.

Track meet... OH... MY... GOD!! Sure there were some hot girls there, but like half of the guys there were SO HOT!! Like half of the guys from Caldwell and Vallivue were AHH!! Well like I said I was there to take pics, so I kinda sneaked a few pics of some guys (I know, I'm not supposed to do that...) There was this guy from Fruitland that I kinda have a crush on... so he's walking around without a shirt on between events!! I'm over here like geeze man yer killing me!! lol... I left after being there for about 2 hours, so I really don't know how my school did... atleast when I was there they weren't doing so well. Now the odd thing is that like half of the guys from Caldwell all had earrings... to a point they're a turn on actually. But too much is a turnoff :/

Here's one of the pics that I got:

Okay, isn't he HOT?!?!

And en route home from the track meet, Jonna "Burn-Down-the-Houses" Weber put up a lighted sign in our neighbor's pasture across the highway, see:

And here's the big 4x8 foot sign that I mentioned a few days ago:

I swear she's just making a killing out of the folks across the highway from us. And those pink flags are attatched to a construction sign that's been sitting like that for three weeks now. Unfortunatley the sign points to my neighbors house... lol...

I kinda saw this coming

This morning (after spending an hour on my paper) I was walking down the halls of my school when a girl from the softball team approached me and asked me if I liked chocolate. duh... lol... I LOVE chocolate!! So nothing really happened for the rest of the day. Oh I did pick up my cap and gown, complete with a gold and blue tassle. And I like the instructions on the packaging: "DO NOT WASH OR DRY CLEAN". Okey... so how am I supposed to clean the thing?!?! Spritz it with water?? Anyway... I got home and another guy from the heating and cooling place was showing my dad how to use the new thermostat. After he left my dad went into town, so I spent about 20 minutes tinkering with the thermostat and only about half the time the unit would actually turn on. But it's really really quit, even the condensing unit. And the heating and cooling guy was pretty hot for being like 35 years old (it was a different guy than who was here yesterday).

And the softball game is a whole 'nother story... it stared at 4:30 (normally after daylight saving they're supposed to start at 5) and it lasted 9 innings... the game didn't get over until 7:15! But in the end we lost 13 to 6. It's only the third loss of the season, which in of itself is not all that bad.

I gave Brandon a call today, since for a while after 3 this afternoon I was home by myself. He said that he was in the middle of something and that he'd call me back. At 4:15 I left for the softball game, and he didn't call back. So after I type this up I'm gonna drop him an email. At the softball game, the girls gave me a *suprise* chocolate cake!! I'd take a picture of it and put it on here, but my camera doesn't want to work :'(

Well that's about it for now!
